The house is completely sealed today as they are sanding, buffing, and sealing the floor. The wood we chose is cabinet grade maple. Maple is one of the harder woods. Cabinet grade maple has variations of color--so you get a surface with more texture.

We chose to use the water based finishes to minimize the off-gassing.
