A day to day account of what is happening on the house

Back to Diary Summary
Sheetrock is hung, First sample of railing
Thursday, May 13
The sheetrock is finally hung. It is amazing how much different the house looks. There are actually areas that are dark now. The rooms are also much more defined. It is interesting how some things look smaller (rooms) while other things look much bigger (the arches). A great surprise was that the builder had most of the corners rounded....it looks great! We had talked about it but thought it was out of the budget.

The other exciting element was having Roberto bring by a sample of the wrought iron railing and put it on the balcony. The wrought iron railing will define this house and one of the things that will make it unique. We suggested a few minor changes--adding more support to the top to make it flex a bit less...but other than that looked wonderful.
